I went for my yearly check up, that I had missed for three years. I thought all was fine until a week or so later. I received a phone call from my Dr.’s office telling me my pap came back abnormal. I scheduled an appointment to come in for another pap and a biopsy. After about a week the office called and told me I needed to come in to talk to the Dr. about my results. It was not good news. He told me I had stage 3 cervical cancer. I was devastated.
I went home and told my husband. We cried and prayed together. That was on a Thursday. On Sunday we told our Sunday School Class. They sat around me and laid hands on me and prayed over me. I felt such peace.
My surgery was scheduled for the following Tuesday. Of course I was afraid and in tears by that time. My pastor came and prayed with us and was there with my husband throughout the surgery.
After they took me to the operating room the Dr. told my husband that he felt that he would not be able to do the surgery because the cancer had spread to far. He would do a frozen section and wait for results from pathology before opening me up for surgery. He said I would probably have to have 4 to 6 radiation treatments then come back for the surgery.
My husband told me that our pastor was with him when he got that news. He said they hit there knees and cried out to God on my behalf.
The frozen section came back NEGATIVE. He went thru with the surgery and there was no sign of cancer.
That was 20 years ago. I have not had any other problems or signs of cancer returning.
Our God IS bigger than cervical cancer.

The Lord said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you.” Then Moses told the Lord what the people had said.
This passage is an interesting one. God tells Moses what he is going to do and why. The why is so the people can hear God talking directly to Moses and trust him when he (Moses) speakes to the people on God’s behalf. God knew there was a trust factor and provided a remedy for the people. What remedy does God have to provide for you to trust Him during this dark cancer walk?
Has God not proven Himself faithful through out the scriptures? Has He not proved Himself faithful to you in your personal lifes’ journey? Trusting means believing in Him alone and His promises He speaks to you through His word. Oh, did I say His word? Yes I did. That means you MUST spend time in His word daily. In and out of a crisis, one must trust God. You can’t trust if you do not know the God who demands this trust in Him. He is a covenant-keeping God and and this can be discovered in His word for you to see personally.
Q: Will you take time out to seek God?
Q: Will you seek Him in and out of a storm?
Q: Did you know the seeking, studying and filling of His word prepares us for the storm?
Dear one, seek Him and He shall be found.
Ron Perry

Ron PerryIn December 2014, Ron’s family doctor found a lump in his neck. After several weeks of tests, he was diagnosed with Lymphoma and began chemo treatments. The treatments were successful and the lump disappeared. Unfortunately, in December 2015, Ron struggled with tiredness and lack of appetite, similar to the symptoms he had with lymphoma. After a return to the MD, CT scan, and several tests, he was diagnosed with stage 3 unresectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Presently we know that there is a tumor at the head of the pancreas and it is inoperable because of its location on the artery. Thankfully, the cancer has not spread and is localized at the pancreas. We are hoping for positive results from chemotherapy but because he had lymphoma previously does not qualify for clinical trials.
